Heather Harries, COO

Heather Harries, as COO, ensures successful product commercialization, while building an expert team to ensure efficient program management and streamlined technology validation, while maintaining product quality.

Heather has over 25 years of medical device industry experience with progressively greater leadership responsibilities. Her previous roles at Terumo Corporation (Bolton Medical, Inc.), Johnson & Johnson (Cordis Corporation & Codman Neurovascular), and HeartWare gave her a wide range of relevant experience in Product & Process Development, Project Management, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs.

Growing up on small New York farm with a father who was a large animal veterinarian, Heather was exposed to biology at a young age. Her early interest in science led her to biomedical engineering, where she developed a passion for saving lives indirectly through medical device development.

After earning undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University, Heather finished her Master’s degrees at Dartmouth College in Biomaterials Engineering and at Florida International University in Engineering Management. Heather currently lives in Weston, Florida with her husband and two children.
